Giorgio Miescher, PhD

Giorgio Miescher is Marie Curie research fellow in the project Empires of the Visual. In this function, he is currently conducting research in South Africa and is associated with the University of the Western Cape until June 2013, followed by a one-year re-integration period at the Centre for African Studies Basel. For the last 17 years, he has been working at the Basler Afrika Bibliographien, especially looking after the poster collection, and has taught intermittently at the History Department of the University of Basel.
