\nJasmine Rose Goagoses (College of the Arts\, Win dhoek) is a filmmaker and writer from Namibia. She recently shot her first short film “Punch Like a Girl”. Maria Lugambo Hamukwaya (College of t he Arts\, Windhoek) is a cinematographer\, editor and broadcast media prof essional with a passion for creating visual stories. Both are currently ba sed at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
\nThey will be joined by film director Thorsten Schütte who introduces a teaser to his film “St olen Moments – Namibian Music History Untold” about a young music ense mble re-popularising lost Namibian pop music to wider audiences.

F ormerly called the MUBIT workshop\, it consists of an intensive program in which select students work closely with invited experts.\\r\\nThe worksho p titled “Global History of Palestine” explores Palestine not only as a national territory but as a site where global histories of race\, empire \, capital\, and displacement converge. Moving from the late Ottoman perio d to the present\, the course follows the life of a Palestinian doctor who se journey illuminates the entangled histories of colonial medicine\, slav ery and its afterlives\, racial formations\, and imperial governance acros s the Mediterranean\, the United States\, and Africa. Through archival fra gments\, family histories\, and critical historiography\, students will ex plore how Palestinians moved through and shaped wider imperial worlds whil e also confronting the structures that produced statelessness and disposse ssion.
