DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the SGAS/SSEA & VAD Conference – African P
 erspectives on Global Transformations\, to be held in Basel from 26 to 28 
 August 2026\, Katienegnimin Seydou Konate\, University of Basel\, will pre
 sent his new book “Humanity\, Nature\, Ecological Issues and Challenges 
 An Ecocritical Study of Children’s Literature in Côte d’Ivoire”.\\r
 \\nThrough an ecocritical reading of Ivorian children’s literature\, thi
 s presentation will bring local experiences into dialogue with the challen
 ges of the global ecological crisis. It will examine relationships between
  human beings and the living world\, questions of climate justice and shar
 ed responsibility\, as well as the environmental legacy passed on to futur
 e generations. Children’s literature thus emerges as a privileged space 
 for reflecting\, from an Ivorian and African perspective\, on global trans
 formations and the responsibilities they entail.\\r\\nThe presentation wil
 l be followed by a conversation with Henri-Michel Yéré\, before opening 
 the discussion to the audience.
