Studientag: «Global Habits? Textiles in and between Africa and Europe»
We are pleased to inform you about the 2. Studientag («study-day») «Europa transepochal», which will take place on September 21 and is convened by Prof. Susanna Burghartz and Prof. Julia Tischler.
This semester, we will discuss about «Global Habits? Textiles in and between Africa and Europe» with the renowned expert Prof. Giorgio Riello, Warwick.
The Studientag is a new format to bring MA students, doctoral students, and researchers of the Department of History together to reflect about themes that cut across geographic regions and historical epochs. It is organized as a joint venture of two chairs, representing different time periods and areas, with the intention to reflect about central themes and concepts in global and/or European history. MA students, specifically in European History and African Studies, are cordially invited to attend.
