Concert: Tutu Puoane Quartet

The charming song-bird returns to Basel instilling contemporary poetry from South Africa with music

Tutu Puoane

Tutu Puoane's beautiful voice, intuition, sense of rhythm and melody, combined with her typical charm and sense of humor on stage, turn every concert into a memorable event. With her charismatic personality, the South African singer effortlessly captures the hearts of music lovers beyond style boundaries. In her most recent project, Tutu Puoane together with her partner and pianist Ewout Pierreux approaches the poetry of Lebogang Mashile. The result is a glowing balance between words and music, with influences from jazz, soul and singer-songwriting.
