Conference: "The Past, Present and Future of Namibian Heritage"

The "Namibian Heritage" conference is organised jointly by the Museums Association of Namibia (MAN), the University of Namibia (UNAM) and the Centre for African Studies (CAS) of the University of Basel, with support from the Carl Schlettwein Foundation (Basel).

BAB staff members participate in the organisation of the conference and give papers: Reto Ulrich on the "Basel Africa Portal" initiative on shared archival and library databases, Lisa Roulet on Wikipedia and archival accessibility tools, and Susanne Hubler Baier and Dag Henrichsen on, amongst other things, the BAB photographic heritage collections and the making of the famous "White Lady" rock art site in the Brandberg/Daureb mountain.
