DESCRIPTION:Faduma Abukar Mursal and Serena O. Dankwa present the current p
 osition paper on "Open Science and Data Management in Anthropological Rese
 arch" of the Swiss Anthropological Association that results from a four-ye
 ar\, multi-party process launched in 2017. This process was catalyzed by n
 ew data management protocols introduced by the Swiss National Science Foun
 dation.\\r\\nWhile the push towards open science and data management is mo
 stly welcome\, the presenters take the opportunity to reflect on its conse
 quences for disciplinary practices across a wide array of issues\, ranging
  from collaborative research to informed consent\, from data protection to
  procedures for sharing their research results with the people with whom t
 hey work.
