Seminar: "Minimal Architectures: Between Bare Life and Citizenship" (Basel)

Time: Monday, 14.15-16.00, Ginger Nolan

This new seminar offered in the program of Critical Urbanisms may be of interest to students in the humanities, especially in History, Anthropology, African Studies, and Art History. In this course we will explore how minimal architectures have been understood, on the one hand, as providing the basic foundations of citizenship and cultural integration and, on the other hand, as instruments of biopolitical management which tend to reduce human existence to mere biological survival.
