The short film “Al-Sit” (2020) tells the story of a cotton farming village in Sudan: 15-year-old Nafisa has a crush on Babiker, but her parents have arranged her marriage to Nadir, a young Sudanese businessman abroad. Nafisa's grandmother Al-Sit, the powerful village matriarch, has her own plans for Nafisa's future. But can Nafisa decide for herself?

The feature film “Adam” (2019) focuses on Abla, who lives in Casablanca with her eight-year-old daughter Warda and runs a small bakery. After the death of her husband, she is very busy with her tasks. When Samia, who is heavily pregnant, knocks on her door and asks for work and a place to sleep, she is very hesitant. Warda is the one to establish contact with the stranger and Abla finally takes her in and Samia helps wherever she can. An increasingly close relationship develops between the two, a touching solidarity.
