Concert: "Djim Radé & Jazz éducation"

A pulsating encounter of traditional Chadian music and jazz

Djim Radé

Sensitive guitarist and vocalist Djim Radé weaves together the diverse sounds of Chad – ranging from the Sahel to the music of Bantu ethnic traditions – with jazz tonalities in the spirit of Richard Bona, Snarky Puppy, and Joe Zawinul. With his warm, resonant voice, he sings poetic and memorable melodies grounded in intricate rhythmic and harmonic structures. As a subtle guitarist, he reflects both his love for his homeland and his deep spirituality. Radé is also the founder of the periodic jazz school at the Jonel Jazz Festival in N’Djaména, dedicated to nurturing young Chadian jazz musicians. True to this mission, he shares the stage at bird’s eye with emerging talents from his home country.

In the framework of the festival Culturescapes Sahara 2025.
