The trio under the direction of the Egyptian poet, singer and composer Abdullah Miniawy and the trombonist Jules Regard and Jules Boittin combines Western and Eastern musical traditions and is based on Miniawy's latest compositions, in which Baroque and operatic elements merge with Coptic-Christian and Gulf-region themes. Their concerts are characterized by a unique intensity, which manages to give the infedom of the world a dignified artistic expression. After concerts at places such as the MoMa, the European Parliament, the Music Biennale in Venice, etc., the trio is finally coming over for a Swiss-exclusive tour stop in Basel.
