How free are art and media from repression, protest and growing authoritarianism in the Maghreb and neighboring regions? This panel discussion organized by "Le Monde diplomatique" Switzerland and Culturescapes features Asria Mohamed, a Sahrawi artist and human rights activist, and Mathilde Rouxel, a French expert on Arab cinema. Also participating are Malek Khadhraoui, Tunisian founder of the independent investigative media outlet Inkyfada, and Stéphane Tomagian, regional coordinator for North Africa at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).
