Agronomist Taleb Brahim is developing permaculture methods for extreme desert climates in the Sahrawi refugee camp, with the aim of producing food for Sahrawi refugees who are dependent on humanitarian aid. He has developed methods such as the sandroponics system, which requires very little water compared to conventional drip irrigation because it works in a closed-loop system and he combines fish farming with the cultivation of vegetables and green fodder in hydroponics. He has also developed a green and shaded structure, the dome for hydroponics and sandroponics, which offers a pleasant environment in a holistic approach.

He will present his methods and engage in a dialogue with the audience, during which questions can be answered. In English.
