Theater: "Carte Noire Nommée Désir"
Eight black female artists take to the stage. They share their life experiences with us, especially as experienced by black women in France. Full of madness and chaos, a kind of truth show is created that brilliantly shatters colonial representations and their endless clichés. In "Carte Noire Nommée Désir", French director, Afro and queer activist Rebecca Chaillon takes a black feminist perspective on colonialism. A brilliant evening of theatre lasting 2 hours and 40 minutes: naked, poetic, dense and unsparing - and a Black feminist empowerment that is rarely seen in the theatre in this way.
