International applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. The ability to teach in English – and in German by the end of the successful applicant’s second year at the University – is expected.

The University of Bayreuth seeks to increase the proportion of women involved in research and teaching (in accordance with Article 4 para 1 sentence 1 BayHSchG) and therefore particularly welcomes female applicants.
