The University of Basel's Department of English at the Department of Languages and Literatures advertises the position of Lecturer in Anglophone Literary and Cultural Studies ("postcolonial", 25% Universitätsdozentur), to be filled by 1 February 2026.

The successful candidate will have a PhD and several years of post-doc experience in Anglophone Literary and Cultural Studies (habilitationsäquivalente Leistungen) as well as an excellent teaching and research record in postcolonial studies, if possible with a focus on Africa and/or popular culture.
