Call: Series of public events RECTO-VERSO on «Freedom» 2024-2025

The Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences SAGW/ASSH invites the learned societies to contribute to the continuation of its series of public events RECTO-VERSO. The general theme for the April 2024 to March 2025 cycle is Freedom: The meaning of freedom is constantly being questioned, negotiated and instrumentalised. When are we free, what about our freedom and what does it mean to be free?
As a member institution of the SAGW/ASSH, the Swiss Association for African Studies (SSAS) is invited to submit reflections on the multi-layered meanings of freedom and to enter into dialogue with a broad audience. Interested members of the SSAS are invited to submit a project outline for the attention of the SSAS Executive Board (by 31 December 2023 viaemail to sekretariat@sgas-ssea.ch).
