Call: Activisms in Africa - 2nd International Conference
Bissau 2019
The Centro de Estudos Sociais Amílcar Cabral (Guinea Bissau) is pleased to promote the 2nd International Conference “Activisms in Africa” to be held from 25 to 27 February 2019 in Guinea Bissau. Following up on the first edition, the aim is to stimulate and deepen the discussions on the nature of social movements – and other forms of collective action – in Africa. In this way, the Academy’s commitment to reflect on these events as more than objects of study imposes the need to bring together researchers and activists to once again debate on the dynamics of social transformation in the continent. This Conference seeks to create synergies between activists and academics, in an egalitarian discussion between the scientific reflection and the actions of social movements.
The Call is open till 15 November 2018.
