Call: TSANTA (Journal of the Swiss Anthropological Association)
Call for papers TSANTSA 25 (2020)
TSANTSA – the journal of the Swiss Anthropological Association – is issuing a call for papers for its 25th edition which will be published in spring 2020.
TSANTSA publishes contributions in the following sections:
- Open section (deadline: 15th June 2019)
The open section offers a space for theoretical, empirical or methodological publications independent of the thematic dossier. It welcomes unpublished and original anthropological articles; including articles that address neglected topics. All articles are subject to an internal and external review process.
- Current research projects (deadline: 1st September 2019)
Authors are invited to present specific aspects of their ongoing research, based on empirical evidence. This is an excellent opportunity, particularly for junior researchers, to present current research questions, preliminary findings, reflections on fieldwork, or other issues from a thematic, theoretical, or methodological perspective.
- Essays in visual anthropology (deadline: 1st September 2019)
The visual anthropology essays section provides a platform for publishing visual aspects of anthropological research. While photographs represent the most important part of this peer-reviewed section, there is also the possibility to publish other forms of visual anthropology such as drawings, video stills, or hybrid forms. The corresponding text elucidates and complements the pictures with consideration to the conditions of image production.
- Reviews (deadline: 1st September 2019)
You are invited to send your proposals to the person in charge of the section:
Open section: Sibylle Lustenberger, sibylle.lustenberger@clutterunifr.ch & Barbara Waldis, barbara.waldis@clutterhevs.ch
Current research projects: Tobias Schwörer, tschwoerer@cluttergmail.com
Essays in visual anthropology: Boris Boller, boris.boller@clutterbluewin.ch

Call for dossiers TSANTSA 26 (2021)
TSANTSA is also offering the possibility to edit a thematic dossier in coordination with the editorial board on a specific anthropological topic. The thematic dossier will be published in TSANTSA’s 26th edition in spring 2021. The dossier usually contains between 5 and 10 articles in French, German or English.
You are invited to send us your dossier proposal, which should take the form of a call for papers, by August 31st 2019 to the following email address:info@cluttertsantsa.ch
The editorial board will evaluate the proposals and select one of them in September 2019. The corresponding call for papers will be sent out in October 2019. Every dossier article will be peer reviewed.
