One studentship is available at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) for 2018-19 through the Medical Research Foundation (MRF) PhD Training Programme in Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Research.

• The National Training Programme will initially support 18 fully funded PhD studentships across 15 institutions.
• All PhD projects will be based within interdisciplinary research consortia funded by the Cross-Council AMR Initiative.
• All students on this programme will have access to training opportunities including residential courses, cohort-building activities, and annual conferences.
• All are designed to expose students to a range of languages and research skills essential for thriving as multidisciplinary AMR researchers.
• Students undertake a funded 3-month research project allowing them to work outside of their primary research area or an elective placement in industry or in AMR-relevant organisations.
• Students will be part of a wider cohort of 150 PhD students from across the UK and will have access to online learning, peer-to-peer networking and mentoring.
