Start-up Grants: History, Social Sciences and Literary Studies

The Graduate School of Social Sciences (G3S) offers three, the Basel Graduate School of History (BGSH) and the Doctoral Program in Literary Studies of the University of Basel each offer two start-up grants, starting on 1 October 2021.
The aim of the start-up grants is to enable young researchers to develop a competitive application for a research grant or research project position and submit it to a funding institution by the end of the first six months. If successful, researchers will continue to work on their PhD thesis supported by third-party funds by the end of the start-up period.
Deadline for application: 14 March 2021 (Literary Studies); 21 March 2021 (History); 15 April 2021 (Social Sciences)
