The conference African Perspectives on Global Transformations was a resounding success. 404 delegates (excluding VIPs, media, exhibitors, staff, and volunteers) were present on site and turned the Kollegienhaus in a beehive. An additional 118 delegates joined online. The pre-conference events included the Young Scholars Forum organized by PhD students and the Emerging Leaders Forum organized by the MEA Institute.

The smooth and successful running of the conference and the pre-conference events would not have been possible without our dedicated team of student volunteers clad in their conference T-shirts. As organizing team we commend the volunteers for their hard work and enthusiasm, which resonates in much of the feedback received from the delegates!

At the end of the conference, many delegates got a T-shirt as souvenir in exchange for a donation towards the volunteers' team. We still have a few shirts available at the executive office. If you would like to get one and support the volunteers, please do come by.
