South African jazz is a groovy exploration of different linguistic cadences. In this case, vocalist Parras Dlamini expresses himself in his native Zulu, but his stylistic nuances reveal his multi-layered inspirations - local, continental and international. Ingoma Busuku (song of the night) is a poetic expression that simply addresses secret and sacred mantras, prayers, love ballads and affirmations as well as the self, the supreme being and the ancestors.
