Concert: Carlo Mombelli Trio

Carlo Mombelli has a longstanding relationship with the bird's eye jazz club - once more the bass wizard from Johannesburg returns with a truly innovative project.

For the first time, Mombelli presents a trio format with the excellent  Wolfgang Muthspiel on guitar and the great Jorge Rossy on drums and vibraphone. The lockdown opened the composer's eyes on many things that usually drown in the hectic of our everyday lives. In his latest tunes mombelli captures these moments and details in enchanting melodies, opening a space in the counterpoint for Muthspiel and Rossy.
