The Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Afrikaforschung (ZIAF) of the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main invites doctoral students and postdocs to a mutual exchange on the topic “From Idea to Collaboration: Research and Partnership with Africa”. The all-day workshop will discuss various topics that are relevant for researchers with a connection to Africa from all disciplines. It is not only about practical aspects of research organization, but also about strategic and ethical questions of collaboration.

The event will take place on 11, June 2025 at the Campus Westend of the Goethe University Frankfurt and is aimed at doctoral students and postdocs from all over Germany and neighboring countries. Travel costs can be covered after consultation and places are limited. The selection is also based on the criterion of the greatest possible diversity of disciplines and experiences.

The event will be held in German and English (according to demand).
