ASAA2022 Conference: "Africa and the Human: Old questions, new imaginaries"
As a hybrid conference, the ASAA 2022 is taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, and online via video conferencing. The programme includes keynotes, keynote debates, panels and more, as well as pre- and post-conference events. The conference theme "Africa and the Human: Old questions, new imaginaries" refers to resurgent scholarly interest in questions of what humans share – even while recognising profound differences – as the basis for grappling with the contours of collective futures. The conference addresses African contributions to these questions, and expores new spaces for knowledge production.
