Assessing Food Security in Africa post Covid-19
Food security, at the individual, household, national, regional and global levels is achieved when all people, at all times, have physical and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.
This conversation will share good practices, examine some factors that affect global food security and how they affect the continent of Africa, enlighten policy makers and encourage engagement in agri-business supply chains. Such factors include but not limited to: The Covid-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, sustainability of production and effects on climate change and environment, the principle of comparative advantage of specialization, the Geo-politics effects, and healthy food and hygiene.
