Discussion Round: Reading the Bible with Different Eyes
In the Global North, many are not aware that the Bible is understood through the lenses of euro-centricm. However, there are different readings of the Bible from the Global South. How can people recognize unconscious colonial and patriarchal thought patterns in the interpretation of the Bible? In this online conversation, biblical scholars Madipoane Masenya from South Africa, Sharon Jacob from India and David Castillo Mora from Costa Rica discuss the diversity of biblical interpretations from Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
