Discussion: Men Engage
The Men Engage project is a partnership initiative between the Basel-based development cooperation organisation Fund for Development and Partnership in Africa (fepa) and the Zimbabwean grassroots organisation Platform for Youth and Community Development (PYCD). The project will be presented in the fepa Zoom meeting.
The project actively contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goal number 5 (gender equality). The project goal is to lead an intercultural debate on desirable male roles.
What has been achieved with the Men Engage project? How can the knowledge from the intercultural exchange and the workshops be implemented in the long term and sustainably by the project participants? What are the possibilities to continue the individual and societal transformation process? And how can people be inspired to critically engage with masculinities and tackle social problems?
