KIN-SHIP-ING with Anta Helena Recke & Mario Lopes
The first episode of Kadiatou Diallos new series KIN-SHIP-ING raises the obvious question of a common language for itself, theatre maker Anta Helena Recke and choreographer Mario Lopes. When artists from the so-called Global South and diasporas want to spin relationships together, how is understanding established, not just verbally between German and Portuguese speaking people, but also with regard to concepts such as Africa, black, solidarity and art?
KIN-SHIP-ING is a cooperation between Kaserne Basel the Centre for African studies at Universität Basel.
