Lunch Talk: "Loose ends of a collection or the heart of the matter? So-called ethnographic objects in the archives"
What constitutes an archive and what a museum collection? Can so-called loose ends of a collection teach us something? We invite you to an open discussion on questions concerning ‘loose ethnographic objects’ in personal paper and image archives, and on the challenges of transforming colonial collection narratives. With inputs from the Namibian scholars/artists Tebuho Winnie Kanyimba and Jacques Mushaandja Nashilongweshipwe, joined by Lisa Roulet and Dag Henrichsen from the BAB archives.
