Mary Kategile: The Right to Education for Girls and Young Women in Tanzania
In Tanzania, girls and young women have limited educational opportunities and job prospects. In the online conversation, we explore the reasons why many girls do not attend secondary school and only 7% of them attend universities. According to Unesco, 600,000 young women dropped out of school in 2019, partly because of a pregnancy. What about the sexual integrity of girls and women and what opportunities do they have? How can young women generate an independent income thanks to education?
