Cynthia Gwenzi & Rosewita Katsande: «Shadow Pandemic» - Covid-19 and gender-based violence
An enormous increase in gender-based violence is one of the societal side effects of Covid-19. This meeting will discuss the dynamics of the shadow pandemic in Zimbabwe and how activists are responding. A year ago, Zimbabwean women's rights activists Cynthia Gwenzi and Rosewita Katsande were in Switzerland for an exchange visit. Now they join fepa via Zoom to share what they have experienced, what activities have been carried out, and also what is next for survivors of gender-based violence.
