Volunteers wanted: NGO "Kids in Kenya" (Kinder in Kenia)

The association Children in Kenya (KiK) was founded in 1995 by Mrs Grene Schait-Maleko (also known as Mama Massai). It is registered as an NGO both in Switzerland and in Kenya. The association supports children and young people in the Kenyan Kilifi district by way of membership fees, donations, sponsorships and in-kind donations., All members and employees of the organisation work on a voluntary basis.
The mission of the organisation is
- to provide young people with meaningful goals,
- to provide them with the skills to achieve these goals,
- and to support them in this process.
The organisation is looking out for volunteers to support its activities in Basel in the areas of fundraising, communication and project administration. Students have the opportunity to have their work recognised as an internship and, if interested, learn Suaheli on the side.
