The Department of History at Florida International University invites applications for an associate or full professor of modern (19th and 20th century) African history. This is a joint appointment in the Department of History and the Program in African and African Diaspora Studies. The successful candidate will contribute a transnational and interdisciplinary perspective to the Department and Program, maintain a strong research profile and international reputation, and demonstrate a commitment to graduate mentorship. All regional specializations and topics of study will be considered.
