A short history of the KFPE. 1994-2019

[Translate to English:] Cover

In this report, Alexandra Hofmänner examines the Swiss North-South relations in historical perspective based on the example of the Commission for Research Partnerships with Developing Countries (KFPE).

For more than 30 years, North-South research partnerships have been established to dissolve the sigularity of Western scholarship and to foster inclusive research. Alexandra Hofmänner takes a critical stance at the Commission for Research Partnerships with Developing Countries (KFPE). She concludes that up until today, there is a historically founded bias inside the research institution. She bases that oberservation on structural challanges, which contributed to the attitude of KFPE sponsored-research as of "lesser quality".
