W. E. B. Du Bois Research Institute 2024-2025 Fellowship Program

The Fellows Program invites up to twenty scholars to be in residence each year, reflecting the interdisciplinary breadth of African and African American Studies. Fellowship projects have encompassed art and art history, Afro-Latin American studies, design and the history of design, education, hiphop, African and African diaspora studies, African American studies, Indian Ocean studies, literary studies, and creative writing.
Fellowship terms are available for the fall semester, spring semester, or full academic year.
Applicants must be fluent in English – listening, reading, writing and speaking. Non-native English speakers must provide TOEFL or IELTS score.
