Young Researcher Award for excellence in policy relevant research on developing countries

With support by the KfW Development Bank, the German Economic Association’s Research Group on Development Economics awards on an annual basis the Young Researcher Award for excellence in policy relevant research on developing countries. Awarded are up to three dissertations.

The Research Prize honors academic work combining original research and practical relevance, thus giving fresh impetus for development cooperation. The prize is open to all domains of the social sciences relevant to development. Innovative and interdisciplinary nominations are welcome, and so are unorthodox critical analyses bearing the potential to contribute to improving development policy.

Eligible are theses in German or English by Phd students at Institutions in the German speaking area.

The deadline for applications is 15 February 2020.
