The independent Swiss development organization Helvetas organizes an annual symposium for experts in development cooperation. Entitled "The Hungry City," the 2021 symposium will focus on sustainable urban food systems in the global south. Taking the example of Mbeya in Tanzania international experts will discuss entry points and measures for strengthening them to ensure food and nutrition security for all. The possible and expected contribution of the Swiss development community will be part of the discussion. 

Programm:

• 1 - 2:30 pm: Screening of film «Seed Warriors», a co-production of Schweizer Fernsehen SRF and Arte/ZDF. The film shows how experts worldwide, including Swiss scientists, are working to increase food security. Watch the trailer!
• 3 - 5 pm: Moderated Q&A panel discussion with international experts
• 5 - 6 pm: Online networking happy hour - meet your fellow colleagues for an informal exchange
