The Yves Oltramare Chair in “Religion and Politics in the Contemporary World” is organizing an afternoon event in honor of Jean-François Bayart’s departure, focusing on the connections between religion, politics, citizenship, and the nation-state.
The program features two presentations by Jean-François Bayart on the transition from the theological-political to the political-religious and from the Empire to the nation-state, followed by two roundtable discussions on the relationship between research, the social sciences, and artistic creation.
