Politik und Governance
Das Ziel dieses Bereichs ist es, die Zusammenhänge zu verstehen zwischen dem Aushandeln, wie eine Gesellschaft leben soll (Politik), und den koordinierten Handlungen, die diese Lebensweise ermöglichen (Governance). Im Zentrum soll dabei nicht in erster Linie der Staat stehen, sondern viel mehr die Handlungen und Praktiken, die den Kontext von Politik und Regierungsführung ausmachen. Zudem stellt der Bereich die Bedeutung von angewandtem Wissen in den Vordergrund, da praktische und politische Fragen wichtige Impulse setzen, um neue theoretische, konzeptionelle und methodische Herausforderungen zu formulieren.
