Job: Associate Professor in Human Geography

Grade 36S: £46,336 - £62,219 p.a.

The University is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Human Geography, to commence from 1 January 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment is to a post held jointly by the Department for Continuing Education and the School of Geography and the Environment. The postholder will benefit from a Fellowship at Kellogg College, including rights of Common Table, free access to College and Guest Night dinners and all relevant social facilities, and an academic allowance of approximately £1,000 p.a

You will have expertise in climate change and sustainable urban development, hold a doctorate relevant to urban studies, be an effective teacher at all levels of university education, and be capable of supervising doctoral research students. You will possess a proven record of research and publication (preferably relating to environmental sustainability and climate change), including research grant activity and academic leadership.

There will be the opportunity to contribute to further development of the research and teaching of the Sustainable Urban Development programme.
