The Department of Sociology in the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a full-time Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join the ESRC-funded 3-year project 'Urban Transformation and Gendered Violence in India and South Africa,' led by PI Dr Manali Desai. The Research Associate will undertake fieldwork in Johannesburg for part of the time and contribute to data analysis and dissemination activities of the project. The position will be for the duration of the project, which is 39 months.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 39 months in the first instance.

You may also choose, by arrangement, to participate in teaching and supervision in the Department of Sociology at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
Eligible candidates must have a PhD in Sociology or a closely related subject.
