Jobs: Two Assistant Professorships in ‘Global Encounters’ (f/m/d, W1)

The University of Tübingen invites applications for two Assistant Professors in the social sciences with a focus on ‘Global Encounters’ to commence on or after April 1, 2022.
Established as part of its Excellence Strategy, this platform 'Global Encounters' examines the construction, reconstruction and restructuring of global networks. It focuses on the processes and practices of interdependency and communication, as well as the consequences such global encounters have for the formation of knowledge and communities, which are studied with regard to their decoloniality and their future sustainability. To this end, the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences invites applications for two positions of assistant professor:
- Assistant Professor in Sociology, with a focus on Global Sociology: Urban Futures in the Global South
- Assistant Professor in Political Science, with a focus on Political Struggles in the Global South
