Call: Annual NAAAS & Affiliates National Conference (February 17-22, 2020 | Dallas, Texas)

28th Conference

The National Association of African American Studies will host its 28th national conference in Dallas, Texas February 17 - 22, 2020. The conference is expected to serve as host to more than 800 research paper and poster presentations from scholars across the U.S. and more than twenty foreign countries.

Abstract requirement: Abstracts should not exceed two pages, should be submitted that relate to any aspect of the African and African American, Hispanic and Latino, Native American, Indigenous Peoples or Asian experience. Subjects may include, but are not limited to: unequal earning capacity, mental health, legal system, police brutality, community violence, shootings, discrimination, education, employment, family, substance abuse, poverty, workplace inequalities, health care, emergence of an underclass, and other topics. Please indicate the time required for presentation of your paper (25 minutes OR 45 minutes).

Deadline extended: Friday, 13 December 2019
