Call: Postdoctoral Research Associate, African Humanities Colloquium

The African Humanities Colloquium at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS) at Princeton University invites applications for a postdoctoral, or more senior research associate, for the 2022-2023 academic year. Consideration will be given to scholars working in any field of the humanities dealing with Africa or the African diaspora. Scholars of all disciplines in the humanities broadly defined, including anthropology, art and archeology, comparative literature, English, film and video history, literatures in other languages, music, philosophy, drama and performance, sexuality studies, digital humanities, environmental humanities, religion, and women and gender studies will be considered.
Appointments will be for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year based on performance and availability of funding. Applicants must have already demonstrated outstanding scholarly achievement and excellence in teaching. A Ph.D. degree is required.
