Gerda Henkel Research Grants 2024: Project grants and scholarships
The Gerda Henkel Foundation calls for applications for research project grants and research scholarships in the fields of "historical humanities" (archaeology, history of art, historical Islamic studies, history, history of law, history of science, prehistory and early history). The application deadline is 22 May 2024.
Applications for research scholarships can be made directly by Postdocs or scholars with Post Doctoral Lecture Qualification. A research scholarship is usually applied for by one scholar who will work on a specific project on his own. An institutional affiliation is not necessary. Support does not depend on the applicant's nationality or location.The funding period is generally between one and 24 months.
The grants for research projects involve, depending on the type of project, the assumption of costs for personnel, travel, materials and/or other costs. Support can be provided for a period of min. one month and max. 24 months.
The application deadline for scholarships and research Projects is 22 May 2024 (no deadlines for smaller funding amounts of up to 30,000 Euros for scholarships and upt to 25,000 Euros for research projects).
The Gerda Hendel Foundation also awards about 50 PhD scholarships each year. Applications for PhD scholarships are considered throughout the year.
