Volunteer Opportunity: SGAS-VAD 2026 Conference
The organizers of the SGAS-VAD 2026 Conference are looking for volunteers who assist with the smooth operation of the hybrid panel sessions and support delegates and the conference management team throughout the three conference days (26-28 August 2026). Volunteers will have direct access to the conference, gain valuable hand-on experience in international conference organization and have the opportunity to network with peers and international scholars.
The joint conference of the Society for African Studies (SGAS/SSEA) and the Association for African Studies in Germany e.V. (VAD) will be hosted by the ZASB at the University of Basel. Under the conference theme “African Perspectives on Global Transformations”, it connects scholars based in Europe, Africa and beyond and welcomes participants from all career levels.
