The African Studies Association of the United Kingdom (ASAUK) invites abstracts for the ASAUK 2026 Conference: “Narrative, Power and the Making of African Worlds”, taking place at Durham University from 10–12 September 2026.

A major aim of the ASAUK is to facilitate linkages between UK and African institutions and between scholars in Africa and in the UK. They collaborate with their Africa-based peer associations and support their initiatives. Their conference takes place every two years and is the major UK hub for scholars of Africa.
