Elisa da Costa, student of the Masters' program African Studies, has launched a new podcast. The podcast focuses on the Black and Afro-Swiss community.
Blackfluencers is a new podcast by Elisa da Costa, student of the Masters' program African Studies at the University of Basel. The podcast focuses on the Black and Afro-Swiss community and shows that the community is bigger, more diverse and more innovative than is communicated and shown. Blackfluencers is about own histories, new projects, successes and experiences. It talks about the present, the past and the future, about empowerment, but also about (anti-)racism. In the first season, the podcast focuses on BIPOCs in Basel. Episodes in other Swiss cities are planned. The Basel episodes were created with the support of Djoliba Radio. Debora Lawson, a member of Djoliba, supports the project initiator Elisa da Costa with technical skills. The Blackfluencers jingle was produced by Vaito, a Swiss music artist.
